Background & Settlement

The kibbutz was established on the ground in 1973. The union of the groups and kibbutzim, today the "Kibbutz Movement".

The kibbutz changed its way of life in 1999 and has been recognized as a renewing kibbutz since 2005. Nevertheless, in the

Kfar Haruv is blessed with a diverse multigenerational society. The settlement is home to members of a renewing kibbutz who chose economic independence for each individual and family. The community preserves shared foundations vital to members and the community expansion, in budgets, holidays, and ceremonies.

The settlement is characterized by demographic growth, welcoming returning sons and daughters, new kibbutz members, and community expansion residents.

Municipal and community systems are shared by all residents, both from the agricultural cooperative and the community expansion. Management ensures public participation in settlement governance, continued community building, and rich, diverse cultural life.
Kfar Haruv features a high-quality early childhood education system and complementary social education for school-age children and youth.
An important element of community life is environmental aesthetics and gardening; the community invests in caring for the settlement's appearance and natural surroundings, while honoring human dignity and nature.

We value celebrating holidays in a spirit combining tradition, agriculture, and community, conducting the Bar Mitzvah year program with its special events and tasks, and creating opportunities for gathering and connection.
